A new project from a local food company that also runs a chain of bakeries, the 'House of Istrian Pršut' is basically a delicatessen shop with a handful of stools and tables strewn inside. You can buy Istrian cured hams and other delicacies (truffles, home-made pastas) for home consumption, or settle down, order a prosciutto sandwich and admire views of Rijeka's Riva through the big floor-to-ceiling windows. They also serve a soup of the day, excellent fresh bread, and a selection of local wines chalked up daily above the counter.
