Time Out says

Located among pines just above the seaside path beyond Bačvice beach, this oblong pavilion with large outdoor terrace has been a local culinary landmark for decades. Formerly known as Šumica, it was long considered one of the top restaurants of the city – a status it looks set to keep following its recent relaunch as the Mediteranium restaurant and lounge bar. People who remember the Šumica of yore will be surprised to discover that it’s the lounge bar that takes up most space, with the restaurant side of the operation now squeezed into a self-contained white cube at the end of the building. The kitchen continues to aim high, however, with a menu that combines Dalmatian tradition (fish, seafood and simple fresh vegetables) with the contemporary trend towards imaginative juxtapositions and thoughtful presentation. The three-course lunch menus, at 69kn, are a persuasive argument to pop in during the day. Desserts are well worth leaving room for – Mediteranium’s semifreddo of ice cream, honey and crushed nuts is a heavenly way to round things off. Reason to linger in the lounge bar is provided by cover bands on Fridays, House and Latino DJs on Saturdays.
