After the successful Samurai opened across town in 2013, restaurateurs have suddenly discovered the potential of local Japanese cuisine. One of those currently sailing this wave is the Oyster & Sushi Bar Bota. It’s based in the south-western corner of Morpurgova poljana, sharing it with the terrace of the Golly&Bossy Hostel, and Crème de la Crème. Bota is part of a well respected chain, with venues in Zagreb and Dubrovnik, and two in Croatia’s oyster paradise around Mali Ston. That makes their oysters a must-try, the same as Bota’s Dalmatian specialties that complement the wide selection of makis, nigiris, rolls and sashimis.
