Pimpinella

The unabashedly modest Pimpinella is one of the most popular lunch spots in Split, with a list of inexpensive daily specials chalked-up in the dining room. Although they might not be on offer every day the kitchen prides itself on its steak or fish prepared on a charcoal grill, its black risotto with shellfish, its gregada fish stew and its octopus or veal peka slowly cooked with potatoes under a baking bell. A small front terrace contains a couple of tables handily placed in the shade.
