Although its rather funky website says, ‘Since 1906’, the equally funky Hum is a recently discovered local favourite, a restaurant, wine cellar and cocktail bar in one. These three options fill a space formerly occupied by a fin-de- siècle kavana of the same name, now done out in contemporary style and pleased to be in the heart of ever- developing Komiža. Diners savvy enough to book a waterfront table online can also look forward to Dalmatian fish stew sauce risotto, anglerfish in shrimp-and- truffle sauce, and boiled lobster.
