Villa Rosina

Time Out says
Dominating a promontory overlooking Bačvice beach, this rose-coloured villa has long been a landmark in Split's social life – it was here that beautiful young things used to dance the night away back in the Sixties and Seventies. The Villa Rosina restaurant is a new venture opened in 2012, occupying the villa's garden and the modern pavilion behind it – the villa itself is in the process of restoration. It's a fabulous location, with tables spread between well-tended stretches of lawn, fringed by Mediterranean trees and palms, and with the sounds of Bačvice beach rising up from below. It's a good place to come just for a drink or cocktail, when the garden takes on the character of an open-air lounge bar. Fresh-made gnocchi, grilled steaks and fish fillets are the stand-out items on a menu that mixes the Dalmatian mainstream with a touch of modern European sophistication. The Creme de la Creme chocolate mousse is the perfect way to finish.
