Billing itself as a slow food restaurant, the Golden Shell at the church end of Hektorovića, does a number of welcome inventive dishes along with Dalmatian standards. Varieties of lamb stew are a house speciality as well as home-made gnocchi in wondrous sauces, cheeses in olive oils, all partaken on a simple shaded terrace with unpretentious checked tablecloths. Owner Ivo also offers a challenge menu: four-course and you just say whether you are in for land or sea.
