Vinarija Miloš

Zinfandel, the grape variety that covers more than 10% of all vineyards in California, originally comes from Pelješac. Here at the Miloš winery, what you sample has been created from this Plavac mali type, the ancestor of Zinfandel. Before you sample, though, Frano Miloš will gladly show you around his vineyards, set on rocky terrain inclined at 45 degrees, ideal for all seasons. Pride of place goes to his stagnum, that received 92 points as part of the International Wine Challenge Library Collection. Look out also for his extra virgin olive oil, made from two autochthonous varieties, which won the gold medal at the New York International Competition in 2013 and 2014.
