Opened in 1870, although now titled the Croatian National Theatre Šibenik, this stage for the arts was not funded by any federal authority, but by the people of Šibenik and is strongly connected to the famous Italian/Croatian theatre family Mazzoleni, who left a substantial mark on the arts both in this city and in Palermo.
