The sold-out Totalsports Women's Race is bringing athletes, live entertainment, and empowerment to the city's beachfront this Women's Month.

If there’s one thing Durban does exceptionally well, it’s host races. From the Comrades Marathon to the Amashova National Classic, and absolutely everything in between, we’re a city for running, cycling, swimming, walking, and just relaxing.
Now, the city is preparing to welcome another spectacular event as the Totalsports Women's Race returns to the Golden Mile on Sunday, 2 August. Thousands of runners will be pounding Durban’s streets (the race has officially sold out) looking for the first-place prize.

One top contender among the elite athletes chasing victory is Lesotho's national 10km record holder, Neheng Khatala, who will arrive in Durban fresh off an impressive fifth-place finish at the Absa RUN YOUR CITY DURBAN 10K.
She believes Durban's famously fast course could deliver another memorable performance.
"If I execute my race plan well, I believe a great result will follow. Every race is an opportunity to improve, and I want to make the most of it," she said.
The accomplished distance runner says competing in an event dedicated entirely to women carries special significance: "It shows the power of women supporting and inspiring one another. Running brings us together regardless of where we come from or our backgrounds. As an athlete from Lesotho, it is an honour to be part of an event that celebrates strength, resilience and unity among women."

The Totalsports Women's Race has become one of South Africa's most celebrated Women's Month events. The scenic course starts and finishes at Suncoast Casino, taking participants along our incredible beachfront past notable landmarks like Blue Lagoon and Moses Mabhida Stadium.
The race-day celebrations don't end at the finish line. South African music powerhouse Busiswa will perform live after the race, bringing her high-energy through some of her biggest hits across kwaito, amapiano, house and Afropop.

Beyond the medals and finish-line celebrations, the race also supports PinkDrive, the NPO dedicated to breast cancer awareness, education, and providing free screening services to medically uninsured South Africans. Every step taken shines a spotlight on women's health while encouraging early detection and awareness.
Be part of the vibe! Come out and celebrate these deserving athletes while enjoying Durban at its best!
