The Skin We Live In
Titled ‘The Skin We Live In, the exhibition offers a comprehensive perspective on Koray Ariş’s sculptural practice spanning six decades, through the lens of central concepts in his work such as figure, skin, tone, movement, and balance. Bringing together nearly 300 works and objects, the exhibition bears witness to the transformation of forms while creating a shared space where sculpture gains a tactile dimension through diverse materials like wood, stone, metal, and leather. ‘The Skin We Live In’ presents not only Ariş’s works from different periods and series, but also objects documenting his studio processes, all brought together in a site-specific installation.
The exhibition is on view at Arter from December 12 to August 3.
