As you’re making your way from Moda’s famous ice cream parlor Ali Usta towards Moda Aile Çay Bahçesi, you’ll find Pedro on your right, slightly hidden from view. Owners Ayçın Bademci and Onur Ceylan took over the space from an Italian restaurant and converted it into Pedro in just a few months. The dimly lit interior features a single elongated bar, with most seating relegated to the breezy outdoor area. We give the food an A+ for its cost-performance ratio. Some of our favorites include the thin-crust Pedro Pizza topped with smoked meat, artichokes and Café de Paris sauce; the steamed salmon with fresh herbs, served alongside potato puree with mustard; and the lentil falafel with yogurt sauce. All things considered, Pedro makes for a relaxing place to meet up and grab a bite with friends in Moda.
