This greenhouse garden on the north-west side of Parque Eduardo VII was completed in 1930. The promenade around the pond leads into three areas containing a total of some 300 species: the Estufa Quente, or hothouse; the Estufa Fria itself, a cool greenhouse covered by a porous wooden roof; and the Estufa Doce, the 'sweet' greenhouse with drier conditions. The foliage, statues and cascades are ideal for a romantic stroll.
