Time Out says

One of the best beaches for escaping the wind, this is a proper postcard of the region. Sheltered by a rock topped with grand houses and palm trees, it is so small that it fills up fast. On the right-hand side, as you face the sea, there are rocks that are ideal for pretending you are in Croatia. You will no longer find characters quite like Bino, the old fisherman and lifeguard known for rubbing sun cream on girls’ backs, but other local personalities are bound to be making the most of this famous natural solarium.

HOW TO GET THERE: Follow the same route as for Poça, then walk a few steps further. Alternatively, take the access stairs from Avenida Marquês de Leal, which runs parallel to the Marginal.
