Santuário do Cristo Rei

Time Out says

This stiff echo of Rio's statue of Christ the Redeemer, inaugurated in 1959, gazes across at the city from a hill on the south bank. It's worth the trip to take the lift up 75 metres to the observation deck at the 28-metre statue's feet. The ground-floor chapel, remodelled in 2006, is a site of pilgrimage.
