Time Out says

This hotel was inaugurated in 1764 and tends to be an oasis for intellectuals. It hosted Lord Byron in 1809 (parts of Childe Harold’s Pilgrimage were written there), as well as Eça de Queiroz (a famous Portuguese writer from the early 20th century). You’ll probably feel the literary vibe if you decide to spend the night there.
