This charming five-star hotel is built into a 17th- century palace and the neighbouring building. The palace’s features are still clearly visible and this part of the hotel is decorated in period style, while the transition between here and the other spaces is sen- sitively managed.
Despite the large number of guest rooms (including four suites), the place still feels cosy, and small artworks dotted about add an air of sophis- tication. The main restaurant opens on to an inner courtyard, and the health club – to which guests have access – has a lovely jacuzzi, sauna and Turkish bath.
Children are well provided for with special furniture, toys and menus. Wi-Fi is free in all rooms and parking is reasonable. Reservations also handle bookings for the four-star Real Parque Hotel round the corner and a nearby aparthotel, the Real Residência.
