Time Out says

When you get there, don’t freak out if you are greeted by someone in a robe with a towel on their head. We know it’s unusual, but it’s part of the concept. What’s the concept, you ask? A giant bathroom. A quick walk across the six floors of this building is all it takes to notice the uniformity of style and colours – blue is king in this hotel’s palette. Covered with tiles and mirrors – just like the rest of the hotel – the rooms are in fact bathrooms. Meaning there is no division between bedroom, bath and sink – the rest is separate, don’t worry – making you feel like you’re in a huge bathroom with a bed in the middle.

The rooms - there are 41 in total - are equipped with a coffee machine, a TV (which in some rooms is hidden behind the bathroom mirror) and a giant bed with extra-large pillows, which exceeds comfort expectations for someone who’s getting ready to sleep in the bathroom. The concept reaches its pinnacle on the 6th floor, in the prime bathtub room: there’s a bathtub at the bottom of the bed. When the hunger pangs strike, head to Banho, the hotel’s bar and restaurant. The menu does justice to traditional Portuguese cuisine, with a touch of innovation in the presentation. From the seafood stew with Algarve orange to the suckling pig belly with Portuguese cabbage, the culinary journey is broad.

Time Out tip: Next door at Cova Funda, try the "Polvo (octopus) à lagareiro" – it’s to die for and won’t cost you an arm and a leg. If you’re not keen on octopus there are other options, and we guarantee you’ll be served well regardless of the dish you choose.
