Vila Alda - Electric House Sintra

This tram line was inaugurated in 1904 due to a necessity of connecting the village of Sintra to the beach (Praia das Maçãs is one of the most sought after beaches in the region). You must check the schedule in advance, for it changes quite frequently (you can call 21 923 8766). The route is 13km-long, goes through the woods and into the sea, and lasts about 45 minutes. All you have to do is relax and gaze out the window.
