On sunny days, this riverside terrace is one of Lisbon's busiest. At weekends book ahead or be prepared to wait for a table. The secret of À Margem's success is its simplicity: it's a white steel-and-glass box, as pleasant inside as out, with ambient music to suit the hour. The food isn't outstanding, but the spot is ideal for a lunchtime salad, afternoon tea and scones, or a glass of wine at sunset.
