Founded by three veterans of the Lisbon scene, this tiny place (come early or queue) specialises in traditional Lisbon lunch fare such as iscas com elas (liver in a sauce made from pig's spleen), meia-desfeita de bacalhau (codfish fins) and miomba (a sandwich made with finely sliced pork shoulder). For dinner, there might be mexilhões à Bulhão Pato (mussels in a garlic and coriander sauce), lingueirão na chapa (seared razor clams) or pâté de ovas de pescada (haddock roe pâté served with toast). Only Lisbon wines are served, including Bucelas, Fonte das Moças, Cadaval and Casal Figueira, drunk from a tiny traditional copo de três. You can buy gourmet products to take away too.
