The restaurant draws its name from its location and embodies what everyone in Portugal wants after a long day at the beach: fresh shellfish, ice-cold draught beer and an incredible view over a swimming pool and the Azenhas do Mar beach. The place looks very fancy, but go ahead and dip your bread in the Bulhão Pato clams anyway, lick your fingers after eating the fried shrimp and, well, just be careful not to splatter other guests with barnacle juice. The barnacles, by the way, may have been caught by the proprietor himself (he's a professional diver).
Time Out tips:
– Some more elaborate dishes are available, such as a divine grouper pasta.
– Honour the region by drinking Colares wine.
– During summertime the restaurant opens a more informal bar right on the beach.
