Still known to locals as 'As Vicentinhas', after the religious order that ran it for decades, this recently revamped tearoom hands all its profits to local charitable works. As well as sweet and savoury snacks, full meals are available between 12.45pm and 3pm. After that, home-made scones and cakes are displayed in all their sticky glory for what is arguably Lisbon's best afternoon tea.
