The elegant offshoot of a long-established restaurant in the Campo de Ourique neighbourhood, Charcutaria is a veritable culinary embassy for the Alentejo region. After nibbling some cured ham, regional cheese or one of the famed chicken pies, you might order a hearty soup such as sopa de cação (dogfish, complete with poached egg) or dig into a main dish such as stewed partridge, hare with beans, or pork with migas de espargos (fried breadcrumbs with asparagus).
