A dissident from Os Courenses, another restaurant assembled by folks from the Northern town of Paredes de Coura. Here you can have excellent fresh fish – it is one of the few places where you can always enjoy good grilled fresh wreckfish. The grill is one of the restaurant's trademarks; others include lamprey (available during its season), meats (on the grill) and plenty of “lagareiro”-style dishes (octopus, fish eggs, squid and cod). And then there's this: their grouper pasta is just like so (pinch your earlobe between your thumb and your index finger).
Time Out tips:
– The Iberian ham as an appetizer is just great.
– It's always full, you'd better make a reservation. In summer, the outdoors tables make it even more popular.
– What about beans – the “feijão” in the name? Yes they have them, black-eyed and green, served as side dishes.
