Grand'Elias

A specialist in rustic fare from the northern Minho region, Grande Elias has built up its reputation over decades with dishes such as roast bacalhau and octopus, grilled javali (wild boar), rojões com castanhas (pork loin with chestnuts) and tender rabo de boi (oxtail). The decor is quaint, to say the least, staff are friendly and the wine cellar is vast.
