Guincho road, Cais do Sodré and Time Out Market: this Cascais classic grew and multiplied, expanded to Lisbon where it has a nice terrace facing the water, but we still prefer the original location for its famous hake fillets with cockle rice, its fried sole with “açorda” bread soup and its lobster crepes – or any of the fishes of the day and fresh shellfish. And then there's the panorama – the restaurant overlooks the beach rocks, and patrons can gaze at the mighty sea.
Time Out tips:
– Of all restaurants in Guincho, none has a better outdoors area.
– And if you don't love fish? Their fried liver “iscas” are delicious.
– Santini ice cream for dessert – yay!
