A typical Portuguese beer hall, Nune's serves fine cut ham, ice-cold beer (in metal cups that keep it chilled) and great steak sandwiches. But they also serve very fresh shellfish (try the Algarve prawns, a house speciality), delicious lobster fillets with prawn rice, and a wonderful oven-roasted grouper. Some people go there just for the steaks. As an old Portuguese TV show went: Agora Escolha (“it's your choice now”).
Time Out tips:
– It turned 15 years old on November 1, 2016.
– A good place to have dinner after a concert in the nearby CCB.
– Fish may be cooked in a pan, a pot, a grill or an oven.
