This old brewery, originally called Germania (a name hastily changed when Portugal entered World War I on the Allied side), has morphed into a chain. But there's nothing like going to the original beer hall. It's atmospheric and refreshingly simple: pretty much just shellfish, steaks and lots of beer, served up with brusque efficiency.
