Sitting at a table in Rubro is like being in any traditional restaurant in Seville or Madrid. Even the wooden panels will make you think of Spain. Out of the kitchen come fried “rotos” eggs with ham, green asparagus revueltos, puntillitas, Padrón peppers, buey croquettes, wild potatoes or solomillo de buey chopped beef. This makes Rubro the ideal place for snacking. If you're still hungry, order one of the aged buey beef thick steak, which is part of the shareable section of the menu.
Time Out tips:
– Great staff, great wines... it's a great place to drink with your dinner.
– There is also a Rubro in the Mercado da Vila in Cascais.
– A private room is available for group dinners.
