In 2015, this restaurant's founding duo broke off their alliance. Belarmino de Jesus left to start a pie shop under his own name, José Duarte remained and stayed the course: good food from the Alentejo and Trás-os-Montes regions. As soon as you get to the table, have the chicken pie appetizers, order some fava beans with cilantro and pick one of the egg snacks. Then move to one of their heavier dishes: cod pie, partridge rice or Fiolhoso “alheira” sausage.
Time Out tips:
– The desserts are to die for, especially the traditional ones.
– Mick Jagger had dinner there a couple of years ago, and since then the basement became “his room”.
– Fans of game meat love this place.
