Older folks love to talk about what a great meal you can have at the Solar dos Nunes. We agree. Everything done by the Nunes family is done right. That includes Alentejo dishes – from Serpa cheese and sausage to cod and garlic “açorda” bread soup; game meat specialities – such as the hare pot with white beans or the veal cutlets King D. Luís style (the Nunes are hunters and thus know how to handle game); and the noteworthy desserts or, as they're called in the restaurant, the “Lambarices do Solar” (“Manor's indulgences”).
Time Out tips:
– The appetizers are heavenly, every one of them.
– Feel free to ask for a tasting menu of desserts.
– Restaurant patrons are entitled to valet parking.
