Fnac do Chiado

The anchor store for the Armazéns do Chiado mini-mall, Fnac is a pleasant place to while away an hour or two browsing the shelves. It has a good range of Portuguese literature in translation, as well as lots of originals in English, French and Spanish. The CD department also has a great selection: Portuguese, Brazilian and African music, jazz, classical, world, pop and rock. There are decent computer, camera and audiovisual departments, a counter where you can buy tickets for most major shows, and a café with a programme of films and concerts.
