Inaugurated in 2001, in the Quinta da Marinha, within the Sintra-Cascais Nature Park, Quinta da Marinha Golf Course surrounded by pine trees and with the sea down below, Oitavos Dunes was designed by architect Arthur Hills. In an attempt to keep the course’s terrain as unchanged as possible, a costly effort was undertaken to preserve trees and dunes, resulting in a beautiful and challenging track. The course is part of a hotel, The Oitavos, which offers several packages combining stays and plays.
For refuelling: go to Verbasco, the golf club’s restaurant, where you can have good Portuguese food and some international cuisine, and enjoy an excellent view of the course and the ocean.
