Housed in an old printing works, this ambitious venture - dubbed 'Read Slowly' - is an important cultural centre with a busy programme of concerts, debates and exhibitions. As for the books, the English section has political and social science tomes, as well as literature and the arts, but the shop is stronger on French- and Portuguese-language titles.
