A classic London boozer in the commuter-heavy area of London Bridge. Its British green and brick exterior, draped in floral touches, is highly inviting. Inside there's a warming, wood-clad vibe where you can stop of a drink or to dine.

It's a traditional pub, with up to 12 real ales and four ciders on tap, plus pub grub such as steak and mushroom pies, sausage and mash, fish and chips and a house burger.

Fun fact: The Market Porter was turned into the Third Hand Book Emporium in 'Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban'. Don't be surprised to see Potter fans making the pilgrimage.

I love the hustle and bustle of the Market Porter and the first floor restaurant is a hidden gem (you've got to try the  burger and the fish and chips) - proper English fare.  A visit around Borough Market wouldn't be complete without popping over for a pint.

The best fish and chips I had in London, great bangers and mash and super tasty meat pie. If you want great English food, go here! We will be back! Good sized portions and tasty.Simply the best pub in Borough Market!!

CALLING ALL NIGHT SHIFT WORKERS THIS PLACE IS OPEN AT 6AM-8:30AM MONDAY TO FRIDAY. As a pretty well permanent night shift worker for me its all about the time and the location! While scouting places in London that serve booze at crazy o'clock this was one that came up where you didn't have to buy a meal to join your beer at 6am.

Cant say what its like in the evening but for the morning its a great place where you cant get too out of hand. After getting told to move on at 8:30am ish you can then proceed to go to other great pubs which by that time will be open or to the borough markets, get a few things and then head on your merry way. Stall owners and publicans around tend to be more chipper and tolerable in the morning before the tourist rush has sucked their energy dry.

A great pub for good beer true. On a recent visit though we were most definitely threatened by a want to be gangsta working for this pub, asked to finish our drinks we had bought legally at 22:55 we wre asked to to get out at 23:05. We pointed out we had just purchased our drinks and should have until 23:20 to drink up, the 'bouncer' smirked and asked if we had had a good evening , we replied yes and he told us he could turn it into a very bad evening for us. When complaining to the bar staff we received no sympathy or apologies just told to get out. Shame, pub was once a pleasure to visit but I don't work hard to give my money to people who treat you like this.- I will find a pub who appreciates my custom and that can be courteous. A victim of it's own success means no effort required by staff.
