This trendy café/bar/eatery is just round the corner from Hackney Wick Overground and the Olympic Park.
Serving up coffee from The Roasting Shed and pastries from The Flour Station during the day, this canalside venue also offers a decent selection of spirits, wines and craft beers in the evenings.
There are some pretty cool events going on too, with live DJ sets and local bands playing most weekends. If that wasn’t enough, then 50 percent off drinks between 5-7pm on weeknights might tickle your fancy.

Me and bunch of my friends have instantly fallen in love with the sound-system at this place. A whole lotta amazing vintage speakers completely restored and calibrated with passion and accuracy. There is so little places around, where the owners actually pay attention to the quality of their sound. And this is the vital point about any venue in my case, and I'm sure that anybody who loves music would agree. The place is relatively new, and each time I pay a visit, I'm positively surprised with something new.
This place has served me well when I had an important work to do on my laptop too. Their coffee is just on another level of tastiness.
The staff is very positive, extremely passionate about music and really nice to have a quality convo with. Now there is even more fun as there is a ping pong table and more comfy armchairs and sofas to chill on. The summer garden by the canal is looking great, especially now in the sun with a cup of this aromatic delicious coffee.
White Post Cafe often hosts some incredible talents and really unique performances. It's a little tricky to explain the exact location to the mapless people, but once you'll find it, you are definitely going to come back!
Ventured in to this as it's local to me, and after standing for 10 minutes while the oh-so-hip staff talked amongst themselves, we were finally served. The food is nothing to write home about, and that's being generous, and the beer was expensive and not even cold. Thought about complaining but there were no staff around! The thin outside are is more like some kind of animal pen, with caged wire between you and the canal - hardly cosy! We were then told to move inside, as it was apparently on used during the day. Like a lot of these new bars popping up in HW, it seems to be trying to trade on the hip factor of HW without contributing to the community. Indicative of how the area is being squeezed for more money now that some people see it as a cash-cow. Thank God the Hackney Pearl has re-opened!
