'Kidult' – a word that's being bandied about so often these days that sometimes it's hard to forget it's not a real word. It seems that every event in London at the moment is aimed at big kids, and while it'd be easy to be cynical about it, we'd sooner just embrace it and have some harmless fun. Ball pits, trampolines, flying machines, slides, board games, tree climbing, ultimate frisbee, boating lakes, Lego robots – the city is bubbling over with childish silliness and we've tracked down the cream of the crop in this week's mag. We've also got a guide to summer in London for actual children.

In more grown-up news, we ask actors and directors for their fave London films, take you on a tour of Lovebox festival, bring you August bank holiday parties you need to get tickets for ASAP, stalk city workers in a new immersive theatrical experience and find out about your favourite doughnuts. Perfect for kidults, or just good old-fashioned adults.

Grab your magazine at your local tube station tomorrow morning, find it at a mainline station or pick it up from one of hundreds of locations across London, or subscribe for 50p a week

You can also buy this week’s issue from Wednesday on your Apple or Android device, so you can swipe, pinch and scroll through at your leisure.
