Time Out says

Tucked away above an unusually posh Spar, the Castle Cinema will be bringing true horror to Hackney with coffin-full amount of scary screenings. Along with a showing of the original ‘Halloween’, there’ll also be a recorded Q&A with veteran director John Carpenter. Following on from Michael Myers’ slaughterfest comes sci-fi horror in the shape of ‘Demon Seed’, presented in collaboration with Science Fiction Theatre and featuring an intro from a guest speaker. On October 31, and with the help of Cine-reel, there’ll be showings of ‘The Hills Have Eye’ and ‘The Texas Chainsaw Massacre’, on 16mm and Super 8mm respectively. This is one old school frightfest.

Castle Cinema, Homerton, Oct 30-31. £10. Castle Cinema
