Nightlife, Late-night bars Shoreditch
2 Love It

Catch is an engagingly mixed-up beast: a poky late-night bar/club that has the trappings of a hip hangout and the atmosphere of a student union. This means you get intimate wooden booths, dancefloor-oriented tunes from the DJs, a pool table during the day and a lot of crazed dancing as night rolls on. Catch's ground floor is essentially a late-night boogie den – there's no entry fee and it fills up pretty promptly with Staropramen- and Guinness-toting punters after 11pm. The small upstairs room can be hired out and attracts a great mix of adventurous young promoters. The Rebel Dining Society's 'Death By Burrito' Mexican popup that used to be here has now moved to a permanent site in Hoxton Square.

it has happened twice to me by now that i've been attacked because of my sexuality in this club. the first time it was verbal. the second time sadly not. two punches straight on the back of my head. police couldn't do anything......

FLIES IN MY DRINK! If I could I would give a zero star rating as this place is actually a joke... Saturday night out(4.3.17), charged £10 on the door to get in which was not a problem until the following occurred. Went to the bar where there had to have been a fly infestation, because 3 out of 3 drinks that I had re-poured for me had a fly inside the cup. THAT IS DISGUSTING!Eventually I gave up and asked for a refund which turned into me being charged yet again for another drink. Why offer a refund and not actually do it? I was then brought outside with security to speak to a "manager" who did not look me in the eye, kept looking away from me as if I didn't exist, claimed to not understand me (I speak fluent English by the way) and insinuated that I was making a complaint because I was drunk by asking me 'how many drinks have you had?' when I had not had any yet. I am actually appalled by this behaviour and lack of good customer service. This club/bar is disgusting and completely lacks hygeine to contain flies by the bar, especially where people are paying their hard earned money to receive drinks with flies and to top it off not even one apology was given. The manager was not willing to give any kind of refund stating that his card machine does not offer a refund option and if he gives me cash his books/takings will be short at the end of the night and I should just accept 3 free shots as that's the best offer I'm going to get. I then took the free shots which I shared with the people I was with and left . It completely ruined my night! I would NOT recommend going here in fact I strongly advice against it. This place deserves to be shut down until this fly problem is rectified. As for the "manager", just get a new one because this one doesn't have any manners whatsoever!

It was one of my worst experience in London, first time that something like this happened to me in Shoreditch. We went to this bar with 8 friends, the bar was absolutely empty all the night but they required a 50pounds booking deposit to "secure the reservation" which they said will be fully redeemed in drinks, but it never happened because they charged us. At the end, 30 pounds were remaining from the deposit and they said that they would not give us back the deposit nor give us drinks because the bar closed at midnight. They said that it was our fault, that we "didn't want to consume". We lost 30 pounds, they make money at our expense, the manager was so disrespectful, insulting, not flexible and rude. It was a really bad experience, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Fun times! I went here just last night to celebrate my 34th birthday. We had a table reserved from 9 to 2am and even though we arrived an hour late at 10pm because dinner ran over, the table was still unoccupied! Win! (They let them go after a half hour if you don't claim your spot). However, it was right by the open front doors so it was too cold to remove our jackets. The house staff was kind enough to look around the club for other unoccupied tables to hold 5 people. It was pretty empty at that time but the place gets busier around midnight.

The music is throwback hip-hop, R&B and top 40, with an emphasis on the former. I am unabashedly a fan of this music, which is why I purposely came here. The DJ overall was very good- blending one track into another by the end of one song so tunes didn't drag out. A lot of Destiny's Child/Beyonce. By the time we left at 1, the music has skewed too gangsta rap for me but the place wasn't overwhelmingly crowded, which I appreciated.

I loved there was no forced coat check so we piled our stuff into the settees and danced beside them. Cocktails are about 7.50 pounds to 9 pounds, not bad for a club. I got a tequila cocktail and while there was wayyyyyyy too much ice put in, like in all clubs, I had a slight buzz by the end. Granted, I'm a lightweight.

I would definitely return here again for fun dancing times. FREE entry!!!

Sadly this club displays racist tendencies ... The rude manager claimed she didn't want an 'urban booking ' in the club ..., so closed the evening thus ruining my friends birthday party .., nice one

We popped to Catch as it said it was doing happy hour. The bar was very empty (which should have given us a sign!).

The happy hour wasn't as good as we thought, and it was only on very select things. The round we ended up getting (a pint and a coke) was actually ridiculously expensive! We stayed for one drink and then left. We were the only people in there, and it wasn't hard to see why!

The worse place I have ever been. Cocktails are served in dirty glasses, cheap quality . Lady that claim herself as w manager of the venue has been very arrogant and rude to me and my friends and kicked us out of the venue using a very bad words towards us. I would never recommend going there to anybody, bad quality drinks for very high prices and worse service we could ever get.

Thursday are always good at catch thy have DJ playing from 7or 8 plus happy hour till 9:30pm

haven't been here in years, came for a gig and found out they do food now! will definitely be back to try
