A History of Music in Sydenham

An illustrated talk by Lewisham born author, composer and music critic Robert Matthew-Walker, who explores the musical connections that are woven into the historical fabric of Sydenham and St Bartholomew's Church (home of the current Sydenham International Music Festival). He is joined by local composer Thomas Hyde, whose eight-minute work Sinfonia minuscola is to be performed at the closing concert. (Refreshments and chat afterwards.)
