Charismatic Memphis-born vocalist/Hammond organist Wood lays down his smoldering mix of Americana, blues and jazz. He draws as much on Mose Allison and Ray Charles as on the bravura technique of Art Tatum. Adding some beefy bass and drums to the mix are Dudley Phillips and Nic France.
