Dave Douglas/Royal Academy Big Band

The most consistently innovative and down right prolific trumpeter of his generation, Douglas has made a point of exploring everything from ragtime, Jewish klezmer, Balkan folk music and twentieth-century classical music to angular Milesian fusion and avant swing. This concert marks the conclusion of his time as 'International Artist In Residence' at the RAM, where he's joined by the hugely talented undergraduate big band.
