With Bardens Boudoir now just a distant memory, The Nest has firmly established itself as a Dalston clubbing heavyweight since it opened in October 2010. The club boasts an industrial chic look and (mercifully) more salubrious toilets than its former incarnation, but the music programme remains the same. 'We will strive to showcase the very best in new, fresh, cutting-edge talent,' the organisers claim. 'We are not interested in promoting acts that have 'made it'; we want to promote acts that will make it.' They seem to be holding hard to their stated intent. Weekly nights like Lemonade and Your Mum's House shout out the club's hip electro and disco credentials and a solid programme of international, alternative DJs make this an even more appealing venue in which to nest-up for the night.

The Nest is a fairly average club on Stoke Newington Road, with a good calendar of acts on throughout the year.

But it's exactly what you'd expect: a small, badly-lit underground club. Whilst it is a nice change to go to a more intimate venue, the Nest lacks a decent smoking area and a choice between rooms. The security staff can get a bit antagonistic sometimes and the drinks are overpriced, but in the end it's the music that makes the night.

£7 in on the door on Saturday - cheaper than a lot of places in London. It's the Colombo group so expect overworked, underpaid bar staff, but the sound and light is really good. They should go a little easier on the smoke machine but overall a great club.

Went here for drinks on friday for the great drink deals! Good atmosphere and loved the incense burning early in the evening -  tom grainger played a great set. GOOD NIGHT OUT!

Went to see one of London's best yet still curiously unknown DJs Lxury for the bargain price of £2 (I booked in advance). The drinks aren't cheap so try and drink before - £12 for 3 tiny tiny jagerbombs (one can of red bull shared between three drinks!) was an outrage. But thank goodness the sound system is great and generally the crowd are up for a party!

I went to the Nest in Dalston last night and had my worst experience. My phone and credit card got stolen, thieves operate there freely. When I told security and staff they were so rude and unhelpful, they didn't even care. I never found my phone and card.

Very rude security and staff, will never go there again.

sick, always... Been heading there for random Friday and Saturday nights for the last two years, never disappoints. The line ups are always pretty sick even on the quieter nights and the vibe is on the money. had a good one with ivan smagghe over the weekend

best club in dalston by far! went there last weekend, the music was sick and the club was packed. amazing line-ups. also, this is one of those dark'n'dirty clubs we all love

The best club in East London by far!! Best sound system, DJs and crowd. Left uni two years ago, wish it had been there back then!!! Looking forward to a lot more dancing this weekend....

I have been coming to The Nest for a while now - and it's by far my guilty pleasure! Having seen some TOP line up's, I have also been able to discover some new music and follow some new talent. Gasaffelstein completely blew my mind last Friday - he really tore the club apart - and the atmosphere was electric. I had never really heard of him - and now I can't wait to next see him play. Big thanks to The Nest for arriving on the scene - My Friday nights are now more entertaining.

Went down for Stop.Drop.Roll on Friday, Benji B Brackles and Deadboy killed it! Cool venue, nice sound, suuuuuuuuuuper dark. Loads of sick line-ups coming up.

Dope venue headed down for Russ Yallop, sound was ace, lets hope they keep up their great booking policy!
