Academy Of St Martin In The Fields Celebrates Sir Neville Marriner’s 90th Birthday

Conductor Sir Neville Mariner celebrates his ninetieth birthday by conducting the Academy of St Martin in the Fields (the band he founded 55 years ago) in Elgar’s ‘Enigma Variations’. The concert also features the Academy’s current director, violinist Joshua Bell, playing Saint-Saëns’s Introduction & Rondo Capriccioso; and Mozart’s Piano Concerto No 20, directed by pianist Murray Perahia.
