I’ve come here quite a few times over the years and it’s been hit and miss- sometimes really good, sometimes disappointing. But the last visit- breakfast for the first time- was excellent.

It didn’t all go well- our food was delayed because ‘the kitchen didn’t get the ticket’, and the fritters with the vege breakfast were cold. However, we hadn’t even noticed it was taking a while- we were too busy enjoying our (highly recommended) cheeky Sparkling Limonata cocktails. The manager came up to our table apologising profusely for the delay and offered us a complimentary pastry; and more, very hot, fritters were brought as soon as we asked if they were meant to be cold or hot.

The manager was so friendly and upbeat (but not annoyingly so), and we weren’t in a rush anyway, so we didn’t really mind these issues.

The breakfast on the whole was excellent and filling.

When we’ve had dinner here previously I’ve found the spinach balls in my favourite Carluccio’s dish, the Gardiniera, far smaller than usual and way over-cooked. The manager at the time just shrugged it off.

On other visits service has known to be slow, but the last time I was here it was very good and all staff (servers and the manager) have really understood good, proactive service.
