I had my hair cut by Max, he was really nice i was a little unsure about what i wanted done before , but max was very helpful with his suggestions and checked i was happy with idea before and during the cut , Fantastic service ,very welcoming and nice looking salon too. over all very please with the experience
I had a haircut with Kayleigh today and it was a great experience! I had to cancel my appointment last minute and they easily rescheduled me. I was also late today and they were so understanding, unlike most salons. Kayleigh was super nice and I would highly recommend her and the salon to anyone looking for a great haircut in a nice and inviting atmosphere!
Emma did a wonderful Jon with my hair which is quite difficult as it is curly-she is a very talented lady!
I tried this salon based on a recommendation from a friend and I'm very pleased to say it was worth it! I've got really fine, hard to manage hair which I've been highlighting for years and wanted a change. I talked through some options with John who is one of the senior colourists there and kind of let him go for it- I'm so pleased with the result, he got it spot on despite my vague instructions! Caroline also did an incredible job cutting my hair and gave me some very helpful tips on how to style it day to day and what products would be best. Will be back again for sure.

My first visit to Brooks & Brooks had a lasting impression. I was welcomed with a warm smile and treated like a valued client. The salon has a relaxed atmosphere and is blessed with motivated and passionate stylists. Clayton is a detailed and professional stylist with a positive and creative approach to his work. I loved my Brooks experience and will be returning for another Clay cut!
I am very particular about my hair and tend to feel let down most of the time I get my hair cut. However Rosie at brooks and brooks was excellent, she listened to what I wanted and built upon my ideas and I ended up with a really great haircut.
Balliage saved my life -as did Sophia! I don't really like having my hair done, well, i didn't until i met Sophia. I always ended up much blonder than i wanted to be. I don't think I'm an easy customer to be honest. But when i met Sophia 3 years ago i have really relaxed. I now have my hair highlighted with a balliage technique. i hated sitting for hours with lots of foil and i hated how much it cost, not to mention how blond it was! Balliage means I'm in and out in an hour and a half, I'm a soft natural blonde for the first time in my life and it costs me less! i get a full head for the price of a half head! Now my daughter comes to Brooks and Brooks and my husband!
Wanting a new look I decided to try Brooks and Brooks. The atmosphere in the salon was friendly and relaxed. I was booked with Taku. After a brief consultation, we decided that my hair would benefit from a colour and luckily John was free to do this, while I was treated to tea and biscuits! Then back to Taku for a fantastic new hairstyle. He explained to me how to maintain the style....but I have found the cut is so good that it needs little help from me! This is the best haircut I have had in a long while and I've had many compliments from friends and family. Taku is an experienced and extremely talented stylist and I recommend him wholeheartedly.
Had a great experience at Brooks & Brooks, the salon has a very professional, yet relaxed feel. I was desperate for a new style and was recommended by a friend to see Kim Rance. Kim gave me a fantastic new style, showed me how to style it myself and also showed me products to suit my thick hair. Kim was really lovely and helpful with any questions I had. I am now recommending the salon and especially Kim to all my friends.
I am really fussy about my hair but have no problem putting it in the hands of Sophia at Brooks + Brooks. I love the atmosphere in the salon it’s always buzzing and located in Sicilian Avenue it’s a perfect central London location.
Love this salon - Russell is my usual stylist and he is a no fuss great cutter - perfect - would definitely recommend
STAY AWAY from this salon!!!! I went to have a haircut yesterday with Ben. I have long hair and when he asked me how I feel about it I said "I love it". During the hair cut he seemed to be struggling with it saying that its tons of hair and so on. After he finished the front looked nice enough, but nothing special (I have had far better haircuts in the past in other hair salons) the back looked ok but I was not crazy about it. The next day having seen it properly I realised he had cut some horrible layers that are sticking out and instead of cutting very little as we had agreed he had taken off almost 10 cm from the back and left a big gap between the layers and the rest of the hair. I specifically told him I want a low maintenance haircut. The way he cut it it will only look just about passable if I blow dry and style it every time. Disappointing experience, horrible hairstylist who gets paid £80 to make the hair look worse than before it was cut. They would have to pay me that amount of money to come out looking like that and I would not accept it. Would not recommend it!
A few hairdressers have cut my hair at Brooks, but Paul seems to be the one who has a knack for understanding, thick unruly hair. I occasionally go elsewhere, where, but sheepishly drift back. The last cut is still great. Thanks, Paul. Xx
New to the Salon and my hair was cut my by Emma. Emma also delivers Salon training and has been with the company for 15 years. Emma is clearly very experienced and has a positive and upbeat personality. She is a delight to be around. I was a nervous new customer and Emma was very patient. I now have one of the best haircuts and I'm very grateful. Thank you Emma. Also, the front of house gentleman was exceptional and so friendly, thoughtful, helpful and nice. What a welcome! Nicer than any other Salon. You will also be met with sweets, chocolates, snacks, fruit, drinks and magazines. Very relaxing experience and well thought out. I had ano excellent 1st experience.
Disappointed - Had an appointment with Harry today. He's a very nice chap I have only one small complaint about him. He never cleaned the hair from me after he finished cutting my hair which I thought would have been a standard thing for any any hairdressers. I was also over charged by £10.00 by the bloke on the front desk who couldn't get my money fast enough. I was quoted 45 on Thursday when I called in and much to my surprise he said initially 65 and then when I queried it he said oh not it's 55. I then questioned that figure and it was ignored. All in all I would avoid this salon and look for somewhere where they provide a better personal touch rather that take your money and run!
I Brooks and Brooks about 3 years ago when another well known hair salon let me down, and I am so pleased I did. This is easily the best salon I've ever been to. Everyone is really friendly. Rosie is a total genius, especially when it it comes to colour. My hair has never been better and I couldn't be happier.
I discovered this place 7 years ago and have always been there. All the hair stylists are absolutely great. I recommend it!
Paul at Brooks and Brooks is fantastic. He does amazing cuts and makes great suggestions if you're unsure what to do with your hair. I've had so many compliments on his cuts over the years - we've done trims, crazy shorter layers, different fringe styles and a short bob. He also makes sure that it works whether my hair is styled straight or curly.
I had a wonderfully relaxing scalp massage from the friendly lady who washed my hair too. Their shampoo smells so good :)
I would definitely recommend this place to a friend.
I moved to London last year and I spent the 1st 6months travelling back up north to see my old hairdresser. I realised how ridiculous that was and started my search for a London hairdresser. I looked at lots of reviews and ended up picking Brooks and Brooks.
I saw Katie and she just got me and my hair. There were loads of things that i found difficult about my previous haircut that i just thought it was my hair but since seeing Katie it has been so much easier. I had lots of layers before which i have now grown out and I'm not quite wash and go (my hair won't allow me) but the cut does allow me to not struggle so much with the straighteners.
The salon is nice and friendly and I had a few girls wash my hair but Mary does a lovely massage.
I would 100% recommend. My only problem is that she gets booked up in the evening slots fast. But if I had to wait a week or so, I will.
Had an fab experience at the Salon, my stylist Marlon was excellent at listening to what I was after and also great at advising me on what is best for my hair. I have had lots of issues in the past with stylists not listening to what I was after and I have more times than none left a salon in the past feeling as though too much length had been taken off despite me clearly saying I want to keep my hair long.
Marlon however listened to exactly what I was after and did a magnificent job at lifting the ends of my long dark brown hair in the healthiest way (with as little bleach as possible) and adding a variety of rainbow colours, from blue to pink to even yellow, all whilst keeping as much length at possible. I have been back a few times to have my crazy colour re-done as it does initially fade quite quickly but I could not be happier with the outcome.
Marlon may come across younger and therefore less experienced than some of the other stylists but do not let that fool you to ask for a different stylist, he is a cut & colour god & I honestly will not let anyone else touch my hair again. Big thumbs up to Brooks & Brooks!
Rebecca has been managing my hair colour for the past 8 years and if I needed to I’d follow her from Brookes to Timbuktu. I trust her hair ‘colour judgement’ implicitly; she has a great eye and my highlights alwaysturnout better than I’d hoped for.She’s got me for life!
I went in the other day and was seen by a lovely girl called Rosie!! Her smile lit up the whole salon and was very friendly.......she made me feel at easy and done a wonderful job on my hair!! I recommend to go see her she done wonders on it and the whole place was very friendly
The standard of hairdressing at Brooks and Brooks is absolutely phenominal and the staff are always extremely friendly and inviting. Kayleigh always does such an amazing job with my hair and is an amazing colourist - would 100% recommend this place.
What a fab experience! I have a gorgeous new colour and was so well looked after :-) Getting my hair done is a real treat for me and I had a great time - I was talked through the whole process and the staff clearly know what they are doing and how to get the best results. I was given great advice about the best ways to look after my hair and improve it's condition, and I came out with an end result so much better than I had in mind. Great surroundings, great staff, and great hair do. Strongly recommend.
Really disappointed and charged twice
I went following a recommendation from a friend. Pricey but felt I wanted a treat as I have recently had a lot going on and I don’t get my hair done that often. Easy to book and great website giving all the info you need. Had my hair coloured (half head of highlights) by a colour specialist and cut by Caroline -costing just shy of £200.
Although the cut was good, and Caroline was lovely, I was really disappointed with the general experience. The colourist was very unfriendly and made no effort to talk to me at all-making me feel really awkward. The colour didn’t really match my existing highlights – my roots appear quite orange compared to my normal, more golden colour. I was offered a head massage but this lasted less than a minute and wasn’t particularly pleasant. The salon looks great in the pics but I was sat in a really plane and non-glam area. I was however offered lots of coffee – which is always a bonus!
When it came to paying, they processed my card and then told me their machine had timed-out – not to worry and that I wouldn’t be charged for the transaction. We processed the payment again with no difficulty. An hour after leaving the salon I checked my bank balance and realised they had taken the payment twice – almost £400. I called and confirmed this with my bank. I walked all the way back to the salon only to be told I needed proof – so (as my mobile banking only showed the account balance and not the actual transactions as it was too recent) I was forced to walk to the nearest NatWest who were again able to confirm the mistake but unable to provide written proof as it was still a pending transaction. I returned to the salon (now quite frustrated as much of my day off had been wasted) and they were unable to help me any further. The money was later returned to my account. I know this wasn't necessarily their fault but it was a huge inconvenience and, on the back of the rest of the experience, I was fed-up.
Getting my hair done is generally a big deal to me and something I feel is a real luxury. Reading the reviews, I seem to have been unfortunate in having had a really disappointing experience with brooks and brooks. In essence – lovely cut, nice enough place in a great location but not worth the money.
After doing loads of research online RE brazillian blow dry and the best salons to go with, it was between this one and 3 others. Before I start let me say that I am mixed race and have naturally curly hair. When I had called the very friendly receptionist advised because its my first time at the salon, I must come for a consulation. This I really appreciated because I needed to be sure that they could deal with my hair. The following day arrived and was greeted, quickly introduced to Valerie and offered me a coffee. The treatment was amazing! And Valerie explained every process and procedure while we had some great convo... The problem for me came when I was to have my hair styled. As an experienced salon, winning countless awards, you would think they would know how to deal with all times of hair. The stylist Emma, seemed completely uncomfortable with my texture and didn't know the first thing about how to deal with my hair. At one point I had to take over.... Although I left with a good treatment, I did not get that salon finish/look when I walked out. Considering the price I paid, I now have to go home and straighten and style my hair myself. This was a real let down as I had high hopes for this place. Would not be going back.
Had a good haircut with Fern, she asked me what kind of look I preferred, did a nice blow dry/finish. She didn't seem too friendly/a bit of attitude but I boiled it down to personal style. But I did sort of feel like I was the one doing all the smiling and trying to make the appointment pleasant. For 45 pounds I'd like some kind and friendly service as well. Also went in for the complimentary fringe trim most salons offer, she was very brisk, sort of butchered the fringe making it choppy and uneven. When she finished, just walked off, no eye contact, smile or anything. I do think it is an excellent salon but if I go back, I'd go with a different stylist.
