Heal's Modern Craft Market

Returning after a successful first run in 2014, Heal’s Modern Craft Market celebrates the best in contemporary craft, showcasing an eclectic range of collectibles and hosting live workshops in store. Six furniture designers – Chris Eckersley, Sarah Kay, William Warren, Gareth Neal, Carl Clerkin and Koji Katsuragi – will be taking over the store’s windows to celebrate the Great Heal’s Bodging Race. What’s bodging, you ask? It’s a hands-on technique that uses unseasoned wood and traditional Windsor chair making techniques.  The motely crew of ‘bodgers’ will be competing to create several pieces, one of which will then be available exclusively for sale at Heal’s. On top of this, you’ll find an impressive selection of crafty workshops in store, too, including leather moulding, fair isle knitting and screen printing. A full list of workshops can be found here.
