As part of Selfridges’ charitable Re-Work It initiative, over 90 artists, designers and personalities – including the likes of Cara Delevingne, Paul Smith and Jasmine Guinness – have customised and reinvented an iconic BA2 chair by Race Furniture. The jazzed-up chairs are currently cascading down Selfridges’ central atrium, creating a 32m x 14m installation that is truly a sight to behold. Each chair is up for auction on the paddle8.com site until June 9, with prices starting at £150. All proceeds go to The Art Room, a charity that provides arty activities as therapy for vulnerable children and is patronised by Kate Middleton.
