Godspell

They've hoiked out the original cast member from the 70s West End premiere of the rock musical to host this gala evening concert. David Essex played Jesus in 1972 at Wyndham's and he reprises the role here along with Marti Webb, Zoe Tyler and Andy Abraham and a 32 piece choir. It's all in a good cause - the Make a Wish Foundation - and features new orchestrations of Stephen Schwartz's songs from the recent Broadway revival.
